THE ASK.

My team was tasked with creating a full Fashion Forecast that identified an emerging trends using cultural research, consumer insights, and market analysis.

The project required turning these findings into a clear trend concept, with supporting color, fabric, and key-item direction for real-world use and a pitch to Future Snoops

THE SPARK.

An interview clip between Maverick Carter and Tyler, the Creator first sparked our curiosity about the idea of homogeny.

Tyler highlighted how certain music artists stay true to themselves and maintain distinct personal styles, which led us to wonder: If individuality thrives in one creative field, how might this concept translate into fashion?

The target consumer is a young professional shaped by the expectations of corporate culture. They rely on clean, structured, neutral silhouettes; button-ups, oversized tailoring, and classic loafers that project stability while hinting at quiet rebellion. Ambitious yet questioning, they’re beginning to recognize how conformity influences their identity, making them drawn to fashion that reflects both professionalism and subtle resistance within a system that prioritizes sameness.

INSPIRATION BOARD.

Our forecast imagines a world where conformity and rebellion coexist. Silhouettes follow Tyler, the Creator’s St. Chroma across a barren landscape, choosing between “Conform” and “Rebel” in a corporate-driven society. Above them, imagery inspired by They Live, the Monopoly Man, and Big Brother represents surveillance and control, while scenes of protest signal the fight to reclaim identity within an increasingly homogenized world.

RUNWAY LOOKS.

  • Recent menswear runways signal a shift toward bold proportions and unconventional tailoring. “Up in Arms” showcases the rise of sleeveless tailoring and sculpted upper-body silhouettes, emphasizing sharper, body-focused shapes. “Stop Making Sense” highlights oversized suiting and distorted proportions across major houses, pushing menswear toward exaggerated volume and experimental form. Together, these looks reinforce our forecast: designers are redefining classic tailoring through dramatic shape, scale, and attitude.

STREET LOOKS.

  • Street style confirms menswear’s shift toward expressive, unconventional proportions. “Conformity Undone” shows wide-leg tailoring and skirted silhouettes that break from traditional structure, while “What Are You Hiding?” highlights long coats and oversized layers that create anonymity and dramatic volume. Together, these looks show real-world adoption of the exaggerated shapes and anti-uniform attitudes driving our forecast.

KEY ITEMS.

  • Full-length trenches, oversized blazers, and browline shades show the clearest alignment with this season’s shift toward exaggerated proportions and sculpted silhouettes. Long outerwear reflects themes of anonymity and protection, while oversized tailoring reinforces the move toward volume and deconstruction. Browline sunglasses complete the look by adding sharp structure to these expanded shapes—together defining the key aesthetic driving our forecast.

THE RESULT

Our forecast earned Critics’ Choice from industry forecasters at Fashion Snoops, which led to a direct interview opportunity with their team. This recognition validated the strength of our concept and solidified my interest in forecasting and consumer-driven trend analysis.
